Our Neighbourhood
🧡Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that Caroline Co-operative is located on the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. This land is part of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes.
Today, Toronto is home to many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. We recognize the enduring presence and resilience of Indigenous communities and commit to learning from their leadership in stewardship, community, and justice.
As we mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities. We reflect on the legacy of colonialism and the responsibilities we carry in the journey toward truth, healing, and reconciliation.
